Samuel K. Burlum

Samuel K. Burlum, CEO/President & Chairman.  As CEO/President of Extreme Energy Solutions, he worked with the New York City Taxi and Limo Commission in approving the SMART Emissions Reducer for use on all vehicles under their regulation.  He developed a manufacturing plan, where the Company., would manufacture all of its products in the USA.  Mr. Burlum currently is Vice President of SMART Air Fuel Saver LLC. (FL.).  Mr. Burlum serves as Board Secretary for the non-profit Spirit of the Arts Foundation (501c3)(NJ), while also serving as a Director on Board for ESLC Inc. (NJ).  He graduated from Berkeley College with an Associates Degree in Business Management & Entrepreneurship in 1998.  He is an active participant in the Employer Legislative Committee, part of the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce.


Mark Ringen

Mark Ringen, Tech Director & Board Vice President.  Mr. Ringen has developed effective installation techniques for fuel economy and emissions retrofits.  Mr. Ringen has an impressive 25 year involvement in the professional Dirt Track racing circuit, as a driver, car owner, and crew chief, through designing and building winning race engines and chassis.  He acquired much experience as a technician, service manager, and specialist in the car dealer network.  He completed the General Motors Automotive Mechanics Training, and the Fisher Body Training Department.  Mr. Ringen has designed state-of the-art automotive security system and anti-carjacking devices, as well as provided consulting services focused on diagnosis and repairs of automotive computer and electrical issues.  He presently serves as S of L Vice-Commander of American Legion Post #289, assisting with Veteran’s needs, fundraising, and community events.


Philip Castleberg, Board Treasurer & Business Development.  Mr. Castleberg has instituted business practices that create value in the Company, including the crafting of equitable operating agreement, tax filing compliance, and the proper securing of intellectual property rights.  Mr. Castleberg is the President of SMART Air Fuel Saver LLC., as well as holds his post as an Owner in multiple health care facilities.  He has experience in alternative fuel delivery systems for the automotive aftermarket industry as an owner of a distribution firm, that also took part in manufacturing components.  Mr. Castleberg graduated from Southern Adventist University with a BA in History, Religion, and Education.  He Attended Fredrick Community College where he graduated with a AA in Nursing, and attended San Bernardino Valley College becoming a licensed Airplane Mechanic.


Jay Wolff

Jay Wolff, Communications Director & Board Secretary.  Mr. Wolff assists in project negotiations, record keeping, and with internal conflict resolutions between employees, sales team members, managers, and suppliers.  He is an accomplished licensed Real Estate Agent and Broker in the state of Tennessee, currently working with Prudential Rowland Real Estate.  He was a former partner in a firm that developed renewable energy sources for agriculture and bio fuel industry, generating electrical power; power sources included methane, synthetic gas, and fluidized bed production.  Mr. Wolff managed a branch of an alternative automotive fuel delivery system company in Tennessee.  He also participated at Vanderbilt as an assistant Research Technician.  Mr. Wolff Graduated Orange County Community College with an Associates Degree in Electron Microscopy.


William Lamb, Board Parliamentarian & Regional Manager  Mr. Lamb assist in organizational behavior and coordination between sales representatives and technical installers in the Greater NY/New England Region.  He has been instrumental in recruiting staff and training individuals on reporting and accountability of their business movements.  Mr. Lamb has brought with him years of experience of strict financial discipline and fiscal accountability that has helped guide executives on making tough spending choices.  Mr. Lamb is a retired financial officer with a 36 year career. He is a retired Navy Officer.  Mr. Lamb Graduated from SUNY College at Canton with a two year degree in Business and Hotel Management. He is the founder of  local EMS, and has continued his involvement in Volunteer Fire Departments & EMS for over 35 years.
